Job Description

This District General Agent role in the Texarkana area focuses on driving sales and developing independent agents for voluntary benefits, with commission-based earnings and an independent contractor arrangement that includes training and broker relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth and recruit and develop independent agents
  • Provide training, mentoring, and motivation to sales managers
  • Source, interview, and select sales representatives
  • Conduct field training and collaborate with the team on joint activities
  • Lead sales meetings and onboarding orientations
  • Support B2B employee benefits sales and accounts
  • Build relationships with business owners, HR professionals, and decision-makers
  • Foster a high-energy, competitive, and collaborative culture
  • Cultivate and maintain broker relationships

Requirements

  • Business-to-business sales experience
  • Proven ability to lead and recruit independent sales teams
  • Insurance sales experience and Life & Accident/Health Insurance license, or willingness to obtain
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and motivate teams

Compensation

Base compensation ranges from USD 105,000 to 123,000 per year. In addition, the role offers commissions based on sales results, including renewal income, bonuses, and eligibility for world-class incentive trips.
