Job Description

Founding Sales Manager (GTM Operator) leading the US sales motion for playad.ai, an AI native marketing workflow platform, with onsite duties in San Francisco, CA. Annual compensation is USD 80,000, with a minimum of 5 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full US sales cycle from prospecting to close, with no handoffs. You source the pipeline and close the deals.
  • Build a pipeline from scratch by defining effective channels, sequences, and tactics; expect to self-source the majority of your pipeline in year one.
  • Deliver impactful product demonstrations that map to each buyer’s specific problems, not a generic feature walk-through.
  • Act as an extension of the product team, translating customer conversations into product direction, identifying patterns, prioritizing features, and shaping the next builds.
  • Document and refine the sales process as you go, including CRM hygiene, email templates, objection handling, and competitive positioning to codify institutional knowledge.
  • Own significant aspects of US and global go-to-market strategy, including messaging, target segments, and overall sales approach.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in B2B SaaS sales with proven mid-market and enterprise deal closures, not just pipeline generation.
  • Working knowledge of the US digital advertising ecosystem, including how brands and agencies buy, creative production pain points, and who signs the check.
  • Full-cycle sales experience, ideally in a setup where the sales team is small and you own both prospecting and closing.
  • Genuine hunter mentality with a track record of pursuing opportunities and persistence in the face of cold outreach rejection.
  • Consultative selling skills, engaging senior and skeptical buyers with strong questions and credible business cases.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments where product, sales, and strategy intersect and evolve from zero.
  • (Korean Office applicants) Bilingual fluency in Korean and English; near-native English proficiency required for interaction with global teams, with interviews possible in English.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience selling AdTech, MarTech, or creative automation tools, with a solid understanding of the buyer journey.
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC, Challenger, or similar enterprise sales methodologies.
  • Experience with AI-powered products and the ability to articulate value without overselling.
