Job Description

The Insurance Sales Development Representative (SDR) role at Ryan Barber-Farmers Insurance Agency is centered on generating sales opportunities through outbound calls and scheduling appointments for agents, within a high-volume, training-focused environment representing Farmers Insurance brands. This onsite position is based in Wichita, Kansas.

Job Overview

We are seeking high-energy Sales Development Representatives to create opportunities via outbound calling and to set appointments for our agents while representing well-known insurance brands. This is a production-driven role within a top performing Farmers Insurance agency, where standards are high and so are the growth prospects.

Daily expectations range from 200 to 400 outbound dials, or a minimum of 12 qualified transfers per day. This is a results-oriented position rather than a passive role, where performance, consistency, and activity are critical.

Hands-on training, proven scripts, and real-time coaching are provided, but success depends on your work ethic, mindset, and ability to execute. Top performers have fast-track opportunities into roles such as Sales Leader, Onboarding Specialist, Customer Service Representative, Protégé, and Licensed Insurance Agent.

Candidates who are competitive, coachable, and motivated by results, and who can handle high call volume and rejection, may experience rapid career growth. The role requires meeting activity expectations and accountability for outcomes.
