Job Description

The Regional Clinical Sales Manager role supports sales and occupancy growth across multiple Chancellor Senior Management assisted living communities. This position blends clinical understanding with sales leadership through coaching, performance monitoring, and structured referral development to improve census results.

Role Overview

You will provide regional sales leadership to several of the organization’s 15 assisted living communities, focusing on increasing occupancy and driving stronger sales performance. The role also includes mentoring community leadership teams, partnering with referral sources, and ensuring sales messaging reflects the care and services offered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver regional sales leadership and hands-on support across multiple assisted living communities.
  • Develop and implement strategies designed to increase occupancy and census.
  • Coach and mentor Executive Directors, Sales Directors, and other community leaders on effective sales techniques.
  • Track and review sales activity across the funnel, including leads, tours, deposits, move-ins, and conversion rates.
  • Spot gaps in performance and create action plans for communities that are not meeting sales goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, physicians, home health agencies, hospice organizations, senior service providers, and other referral sources.
  • Join community tours and support high-priority or difficult-to-close prospects.
  • Help community teams communicate the value of assisted living to prospective residents and their families.
  • Create outreach and referral strategies to generate new leads.
  • Collaborate with operations and clinical leadership to ensure sales messaging aligns with services and care provided.
  • Lead regular sales training and coaching for community teams.
  • Share best practices across communities to maintain consistency in the sales process.
  • Support regional sales meetings, community events, open houses, and marketing initiatives.
  • Travel regularly among several of the organization’s 15 communities.

Requirements

  • RN or LPN license preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, marketing, or census development within senior living, healthcare, or a related industry.
  • Prior management or leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of the needs of seniors and their families.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and generate referrals.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to coach and motivate sales and leadership teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Comfort analyzing sales and occupancy data and using it to drive action.
  • Willingness to travel between communities on a regular basis.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Work Location

In person role based in Defiance, OH (onsite).

You will be comfortable balancing relationship building, sales performance, and leadership coaching, with a practical approach to analyzing data and improving outcomes. The role also requires comfort asking for the sale, accountability in execution, and a willingness to support communities through hands-on involvement.
