Compensation
Base salary ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 per year, with uncapped performance bonuses tied to recruitment of new salespeople, retention of new hires, and the sales results of the reps you train and develop. There is significant opportunity for advancement as the company expands.
Work location & travel
This is an onsite position based in Santa Rosa, CA. The role requires travel across regional locations, including Los Angeles, San Diego, and Seattle, with a direct reporting line to the CEO and VP of Growth.
Responsibilities
- Enhance and continuously refine the onboarding program for all new sales staff
- Deliver ongoing development for both new hires and tenured reps to sharpen skills and reinforce best practices
- Provide field coaching, presentation coaching, and classroom style training sessions
- Serve as the internal expert on sales methodology, product knowledge, and in‑home sales practices
- Coordinate and lead regular sales meetings, including agenda setting and follow‑through
- Collaborate with HR and local General Managers to support recruiting needs across locations
- Identify, attract, and evaluate strong sales talent that aligns with our culture and standards
- Contribute to a consistent, compelling candidate experience that reflects who we are
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics for new hires throughout onboarding and beyond
- Identify trends, flag early concerns, and provide timely, actionable feedback to salespeople and local managers
- Develop and execute performance improvement plans when necessary
- Ensure alignment with the company sales playbook, policies, and procedures
Requirements
- 5+ years of field sales experience in home improvement or adjacent industries, specifically B2C in‑home sales
- Proven track record in training, coaching, and developing sales teams
- High energy, self‑motivation, and the ability to drive results independently across multiple locations
- Strong ability to analyze sales performance data and translate insights into clear action plans
- Experience working cross‑functionally with HR, operations, and local leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective in one‑on‑one and group settings
- Willingness to travel across regional locations
