Sales Development Manager – Point of Care Diagnostics - Infectious Disease

Compensation ranges from $68,000 to $136,000 per year, dependent on experience.

Responsibilities
- Identify and engage accounts with no current business activity
- Develop and implement territory strategies to generate leads, qualify prospects, and convert opportunities
- Gain deep knowledge of the territory and use data tools to plan effectively
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach to contract close
- Maintain up-to-date competitive product knowledge
- Ensure opportunities originate within the defined territory
- Conduct cold outreach to gain access in competitive accounts and generate interest with healthcare professionals and administrative stakeholders, presenting the value of infectious disease diagnostics
- Open doors and position Abbott as the preferred diagnostic partner for point-of-care testing
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Technical Service, Finance, Contracts and Pricing to deliver a cohesive customer experience
- Build and sustain strong relationships with distribution representatives in the territory
- Work consistently with distribution partners to drive Abbott’s Infectious Disease portfolio
- Oversee a successful account handoff after initial selling and coordinate with the local team to ensure smooth implementation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years of proven success in relevant sales experience
- Track record of converting competitive leads from generation to close
- Experience as an individual contributor with strong problem-solving, complex selling, planning, and execution skills
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory, approximately four days per week up to 50%
