Job Description
Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a proactive Sales Development Representative to join the WWPS GLD team in Arlington, Virginia. The role centers on qualifying and generating leads, prospecting new customers, and running targeted sales campaigns to illuminate the value of AWS cloud solutions. This is an onsite position at the Arlington headquarters with an hourly compensation range of USD 31 to 54.
Responsibilities
- Understand customer pain points, collect technical requirements, and map them to business value.
- Generate interest and convey the AWS portfolio through written reports and verbal presentations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and customers in-person at the Arlington, VA headquarters and remotely via telephone and teleconferences; this role requires five days a week in the office.
- Stay current with cloud technologies and demonstrate a willingness to learn about new services.
- Achieve monthly qualification targets and report progress both verbally and in writing.
- Maintain thorough customer information in Salesforce.com with detailed call notes and clearly defined next steps.
- Present high-level technical solutions to diverse audiences, including AWS colleagues, prospects, and customers within relevant industries.
- Conduct research to stay informed about existing markets and identify opportunities in new ones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading)
- Experience navigating prospective accounts from and to senior executive levels to uncover opportunities
- 1+ years of CRM experience
