Sales Manager
Job Description
In this role with Homemasters East, you’ll steer the in-home sales program while coaching project managers to hit ambitious targets across Portland and Salem. Based onsite in Boring, Oregon, you’ll blend hands-on leadership with direct selling to drive growth for a fast-moving exterior remodeling company, earning through a base salary plus uncapped commissions.
Responsibilities
- Coach and support Project Managers to hit individual and team sales targets
- Run your own in-home sales appointments — you lead by example
- Troubleshoot difficult sales situations and provide real-time guidance to PMs in the field
- Assist with project issues, customer escalations, and warranty calls as they arise
- Conduct regular ride-alongs, call reviews, and one-on-one coaching sessions with PMs
- Help develop sales scripts, tools, and processes to improve close rates
- Track team KPIs and report results to ownership
- Participate in showroom coverage and networking events as needed
Requirements
- 3+ years of residential exterior remodeling or contracting sales experience
- Prior experience in a sales leadership, team lead, or mentorship role strongly preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills — comfortable with homeowners and teammates alike
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Clean-cut, professional appearance
- Proficient with basic technology: tablets, CRM tools, and mobile apps
- Self-motivated, accountable, and competitive — you don't wait to be managed
- General understanding of building codes and exterior construction a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
