Sales Manager – Flooring Division
Job Description
Direct Flooring seeks a results-driven Sales Manager to lead the Flooring Division, guiding inside and outside sales, coaching staff, and driving revenue, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire sales organization and provide strategic direction for the division.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop new sales professionals to build a high-performing team.
- Launch and scale the outside sales arm to expand market presence.
- Design and implement sales strategies aimed at meeting monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Set clear performance expectations and uphold accountability across the sales team.
- Hold weekly one-on-one coaching sessions with each salesperson to drive improvement.
- Provide ride-along coaching for outside sales representatives to reinforce best practices.
- Mentor staff on product knowledge, closing techniques, and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Develop training programs for both new hires and existing team members.
- Monitor daily sales activity and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze close rates, average deal value, gross margin, and the sales pipeline to optimize performance.
- Review CRM activity to ensure timely follow-up on every opportunity.
- Hold sales staff accountable for goals, client communications, and professional conduct.
- Cultivate relationships with builders, remodelers, property managers, commercial clients, designers, insurance restoration companies, and real estate professionals.
- Develop referral partnerships and expand networking opportunities.
- Identify new markets and opportunities to drive business growth.
- Provide daily sales updates to the General Manager.
- Prepare weekly sales reports and forecasts to inform leadership decisions.
- Participate in weekly leadership meetings with Owners and the General Manager.
- Collaborate with estimating, inventory, warehouse, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of sales leadership experience.
- Proven ability to recruit, coach, and lead high-performing sales teams.
- Strong understanding of sales metrics and performance management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience using CRM systems.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Location: Chattanooga, TN (onsite).
- Salary: USD 52,000 - 70,000 per year.
