Job Description

The Senior Digital Channel Sales Manager role at PEMCO is responsible for defining, advancing, and scaling PEMCO’s digital ecommerce vision. You will own the prospective customer digital journey from awareness and quote initiation through purchase and post-bind learning, partnering across teams to improve online quote and purchase performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead PEMCO’s enterprise digital commerce strategy, aligning digital sales, customer acquisition, and omnichannel experience priorities with company growth objectives.
  • Establish the long-term digital commerce vision, investment priorities, and success measures for the online quote and purchase experience.
  • Act as the business owner for digital commerce outcomes, ensuring strategy connects to profitable policy growth, acquisition efficiency, and enterprise value creation.
  • Own the end-to-end prospective customer digital journey, from discovery and quote initiation through purchase, channel transition, and conversion learning.
  • Champion a seamless omnichannel experience across digital, direct sales, and service touchpoints.
  • Identify and remove friction points that prevent customers from completing quotes, binding policies, or transitioning smoothly between channels.
  • Lead the business roadmap for PEMCO’s online quote and purchase platform, prioritizing capabilities that improve usability, conversion, personalization, speed, and customer confidence.
  • Partner with IT, Product, UX, Marketing, Underwriting, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to align requirements, sequence enhancements, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Evaluate emerging digital commerce capabilities, including personalization, guided selling, marketing automation, AI-enabled journey and insights, and integrated handoff experiences.
  • Establish and manage digital commerce KPIs, including quote starts, completion rates, quote-to-bind conversion, abandonment, customer acquisition cost, policy growth, and channel handoff outcomes.
  • Use funnel analytics, customer behavior data, voice-of-customer insights, and test-and-learn practices to continuously improve digital performance.
  • Partner with Marketing to connect acquisition strategy, paid media, SEO, geographic targeting, content, and campaign performance to digital sales outcomes.
  • Lead through influence across business and technology teams to drive alignment, clarity, prioritization, and execution of digital commerce initiatives.
  • Develop executive-ready recommendations, business cases, performance updates, and roadmap trade-off decisions.
  • Represent digital commerce strategy in enterprise planning forums and ensure digital priorities are integrated into broader distribution, customer experience, and growth strategies.
  • Ensure digital commerce processes comply with insurance regulations, company standards, privacy requirements, and security protocols.
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, Underwriting, and Operations to balance customer experience improvements with risk management, accuracy, and policy integrity.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Strategy, Technology, Analytics, or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in digital commerce, digital sales, ecommerce strategy, customer acquisition, product management, digital marketing, or customer experience leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives that connect business strategy, technology delivery, customer experience, and measurable revenue or growth outcomes.
  • Experience owning or influencing digital product roadmaps, conversion optimization, funnel analytics, ecommerce platforms, and executive-level performance reporting.
  • Insurance, financial services, regulated industry, or direct-to-consumer digital sales experience preferred.
  • Strategic leadership experience to define vision, align stakeholders, prioritize investments, and convert enterprise strategy into actionable digital commerce roadmaps.
  • Commercial acumen covering growth levers, acquisition economics, conversion performance, customer lifetime value, and channel profitability.
  • Digital product and platform fluency, including comfort shaping business requirements, UX improvements, personalization, testing, and analytics capabilities.
  • Customer-centric thinking using customer insights, behavioral data, and journey mapping to reduce friction and improve trust, ease, and conversion.
  • Analytical decision-making using data to diagnose performance, test hypotheses, assess trade-offs, and recommend next-best actions.
  • Executive communication skills to translate complex digital and performance topics into clear recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Enterprise collaboration experience building trust and momentum across Sales, Marketing, IT, Product, Underwriting, Compliance, Operations, and Analytics.

Compensation

Salary range (annual): USD 103,526 - 195,511

  • Greater Seattle area target pay range: $140,768 - $172,050; full pay range: $117,307 - $195,511.
  • Outside Greater Seattle area target pay range: $124,231 - $151,837; full pay range: $103,526 - $172,542.
  • Greater Seattle is defined as working within approximately 100 miles of Seattle.
  • Outside Greater Seattle is defined as working approximately 100 miles or more from Seattle.
