Senior Director Business Development
Job Description
The Senior Director of Business Development for Mars Snacking leads the company’s long term inorganic strategy, identifying potential acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, and divestitures, and guiding strategic projects to drive growth with support to the SVP of Business Development.

- Salary: USD 192,560 - 264,770 per year

Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the Mars Snacking Leadership Team, Corporate Development, and other key functions, define and execute the implementation of Mars Snacking’s inorganic strategy.
- Support the SVP of Business Development by independently leading the ideation, development, and execution of strategic inorganic projects, adhering to governance processes and working closely with the Corporate Development team.
- Collaborate with other senior Mars Snacking leaders to shape inorganic strategic priorities across geographies, divisions, and brands.
- For live transactions, lead the development of the business case and projections, quantify the opportunity Mars Snacking will deliver, and support ongoing due diligence efforts.
- Partner with the SVP of Business Development to build and maintain a global network of contacts with emerging entrants in key Snacking categories as well as established players that may become future partners or acquisition targets.
- Develop seamless connectivity across multiple Mars functions to ensure best in class support and strategic guidance to key stakeholders.
- Contribute to formal trainings for the team and participate in recruiting efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in external or in house consulting, investment banking, or other relevant finance or strategy roles.
- Strategic mindset with substantial experience developing and executing strategic frameworks.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent financial acumen.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Mars environment and ideally familiarity with the categories Mars operates in (CPG and services).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across the organization.
- Willingness to travel at least 20 percent of the time.
