Applied Materials is seeking a Strategic Marketing / Business Development V to join its Santa Clara campus on site. This senior role combines market evaluation with portfolio-level product strategy, shaping a market-driven direction in partnership with management and multiple marketing functions to help the organization reach its goals. The position demands a blend of technical insight and business acumen to steer market strategy and portfolio development in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess existing and potential markets with a broad scope to inform strategic direction.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of both technical and business environments.
- Contribute to the development and articulation of strategies that meet business objectives.
- Integrate abstract products into a market-focused portfolio of offerings.
- Manage the portfolio as a product, including business planning, positioning, buying process, market requirements, and the marketing plan.
- Analyze market data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Translate market information into strategic direction and prepare compelling market analysis presentations.
- Drive needs within targeted markets and analyze market segmentations to prioritize opportunities.
- Recommend which market segments to actively pursue.
- Drive the growth process across the portfolio and market opportunities.
- Partner with the management team and other marketing functions (product marketing, product management, MarCom) to ensure marketing efforts meet the organization’s strategic goals.
- Oversee the creation of abstract product strategies that integrate with Applied Materials products.
- Support the vision and key deliverables for abstract products.
- Own and manage the portfolio of products.
