Job Description

Enervise is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive growth in its commercial HVAC and plumbing services. This on-site role is based in Akron, Ohio and centers on securing new commercial, industrial, and institutional accounts by presenting maintenance agreements and energy solutions to C-level decision makers, while guiding lead development, prospecting, and contract closures.

Responsibilities

Acquire new commercial, industrial and institutional accounts by developing relationships with owners, facility managers, and management companies.
Sell planned maintenance agreements and energy solutions consulting for mechanical systems to C-level decision makers.
Develop sales leads, qualify prospects and make sales calls.
Negotiate, estimate, bid, propose and close contracts at qualified margins.
Balance time between prospecting and networking, managing relationships with current clients, and delivering sales presentations.

Requirements

Minimum five (5) years of sales experience with demonstrated success selling conceptual solutions to end-users in a highly competitive market.
Exceptional hunting and closing skills; effective at overcoming resistance and able to work independently without supervision.
Hard-working self-starter with a strong desire to increase earnings within two years on a base plus commission plan.
HVAC/Energy experience in manufacturing, healthcare, or education is helpful but not required.
Proven track record developing and closing new business opportunities in commercial/industrial service agreement sales.
Self-motivated with strong communication, planning, and presentation skills; comfortable selling to both C-level and technical buyers; good door opener and closer.
Education: a two- or four-year degree in engineering, business, or related field is desired; experience in the HVAC industry or building energy solutions can substitute.
Solid computer skills in Word, Excel, estimating, and CRM software.
Must hold a Driver's License.
