Job Description

Enervise is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive growth in its commercial HVAC and plumbing services. This on-site role is based in Akron, Ohio and centers on securing new commercial, industrial, and institutional accounts by presenting maintenance agreements and energy solutions to C-level decision makers, while guiding lead development, prospecting, and contract closures.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire new commercial, industrial and institutional accounts by developing relationships with owners, facility managers, and management companies.
  • Sell planned maintenance agreements and energy solutions consulting for mechanical systems to C-level decision makers.
  • Develop sales leads, qualify prospects and make sales calls.
  • Negotiate, estimate, bid, propose and close contracts at qualified margins.
  • Balance time between prospecting and networking, managing relationships with current clients, and delivering sales presentations.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of sales experience with demonstrated success selling conceptual solutions to end-users in a highly competitive market.
  • Exceptional hunting and closing skills; effective at overcoming resistance and able to work independently without supervision.
  • Hard-working self-starter with a strong desire to increase earnings within two years on a base plus commission plan.
  • HVAC/Energy experience in manufacturing, healthcare, or education is helpful but not required.
  • Proven track record developing and closing new business opportunities in commercial/industrial service agreement sales.
  • Self-motivated with strong communication, planning, and presentation skills; comfortable selling to both C-level and technical buyers; good door opener and closer.
  • Education: a two- or four-year degree in engineering, business, or related field is desired; experience in the HVAC industry or building energy solutions can substitute.
  • Solid computer skills in Word, Excel, estimating, and CRM software.
  • Must hold a Driver's License.
