Job Description

This role centers on building growth by connecting with real estate professionals, lenders, attorneys and other industry partners, backed by a network that supports closings across all 50 states. Gateway Title Company provides title insurance, escrow services and real estate settlements. As part of the Liberty Title branch network, Gateway connects with 30 branch offices across 13 states, enabling nationwide closings while preserving the client-focused service you expect from a local operation.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by calling on real estate agents, mortgage lenders, attorneys, builders, and other industry professionals.
- Maintain and expand an existing book of business while actively pursuing new clients.
- Conduct closing transactions and provide exceptional customer service at the closing table.
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Educate clients on the benefits of title insurance, escrow services, and the closing process through Gateway Title.
- Conduct in-person meetings, networking events, and industry presentations to promote company services.
- Collaborate with internal teams and departments to ensure seamless transactions.
- Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies as needed.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
- Partner effectively with Branch/Sales Leadership and Marketing Director to maximize sales growth and account penetration.
Requirements
- Prior years of sales experience in the real estate, mortgage, or title insurance industry.
- Degree in business, or related area, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Proficiency with PC and common software packages, such as Excel and Word.
- Ability to learn new software packages as necessary or have experience with the company operating system.
- Ability to travel within a defined geographic area, calling on existing and prospective clients.

Location and travel
Location: Lincoln, ME, with hybrid work possibilities. This position reports to a local Gateway Title branch office and may include hybrid or remote work depending on experience and territory. Travel up to 75% to closings and events.
