Amusement Ride Sales Representative/Business Development
Job Description
Rocky Mountain Construction is seeking an experienced Business Development Professional to drive sales growth across Asia and manage selected customer accounts across North and South America. This in-person role is based in Hayden, Idaho and focuses on opportunity development, proposal leadership, and customer and partner relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business development initiatives with an emphasis on expanding RMC’s presence throughout Asia.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities using industry research, networking, trade associations, and market intelligence.
- Build and maintain customer relationships across organizational levels, including maintenance and operations teams as well as executive leadership and ownership groups.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts throughout Asia, while supporting assigned key accounts in North and South America.
- Lead development of customer proposals, coordinating technical, commercial, and financial inputs to produce competitive and accurate submissions.
- Work with customers and RMC engineering and design teams to develop customized ride solutions aligned with client objectives and requirements.
- Establish, develop, and manage an international network of independent sales representatives and channel partners throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute domestic and international trade shows, industry conferences, customer events, and sales meetings, including logistics, budgeting, booth planning, marketing coordination, and post-event follow-up.
- Represent RMC at domestic and international trade shows, industry conferences, and both in-person and virtual customer meetings to strengthen brand awareness and generate qualified sales opportunities.
- Develop regional sales campaigns and related promotional materials, digital content, and other business development initiatives that support market growth.
- Continuously improve sales processes using best practices and customer feedback to enhance the customer experience.
- Conduct Voice of the Customer (VOC) research to identify market trends, improve existing products, and inform future ride innovation.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer activity, proposal status, and opportunity pipelines using the company CRM system.
- Partner with executive leadership to achieve annual sales objectives, profitability goals, and long-term strategic initiatives.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of RMC products, engineering capabilities, manufacturing processes, and service offerings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced business degree preferred.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of successful business development, international sales, or account management experience.
- Demonstrated success developing business within Asian markets, with experience working with distributors, agents, or international partners highly desirable.
- Experience developing customer proposals, responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and coordinating cross-functional proposal teams for complex projects is preferred.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, relationship management, and business development skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across diverse cultures and business environments.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to manage sales pipelines, customer relationships, and forecasting.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering, operations, and executive leadership to meet business objectives.
Additional Preferred Experience
- Experience selling capital equipment, engineered products, manufacturing solutions, industrial systems, or large-scale commercial projects is preferred.
- Experience planning, organizing, and managing sales travel, trade shows, industry conferences, customer events, and marketing initiatives is highly desirable.
- Background or experience in the construction, engineering, manufacturing, mechanical, or amusement industries is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: USD 75,000 - 100,000 per yearly.

Travel Requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Asia, with additional travel to North and South America as business needs require.
- Average travel is expected to be approximately one week per month, with flexibility for longer trips based on customer and project requirements.
- Position is based in Hayden, Idaho.
