Asset Based Lending Senior Business Development Officer
Job Description
Salary USD 189,500 - 234,200 per year • Location Denver, CO (onsite). Bank of America, through Bank of America Business Capital, invites a Senior Asset Based Lending (ABL) Business Development Officer to drive new ABL financing opportunities and lead deal teams. This onsite role focuses on coordinating sole lender, club, and syndicated transactions for large corporate through lower middle market borrowers, with coverage for prospective ABL clients and COIs in the Mid-Atlantic region and the Carolinas.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new financing opportunities while guiding deal teams through analysis, approval, and execution.
- Engage in sole lender, club, and widely syndicated ABL transactions across various structures.
- Maintain an external referral network comprising private equity firms, investment banks, consultants, and direct credit lenders.
- Develop internal referrals with relationship managers and credit product managers in Global Banking and other lines of business to collaborate with prospective ABL clients and COIs.
- Originates new asset-based lending credit facilities for companies with $50 million+ in revenue.
- Grow profitable client relationships through proactive outreach, prospecting, and strengthening existing connections.
- Interpret financial statements and cash flow analyses to assess company financial conditions and industry trends.
- Partner with internal bank teams to deliver tailored asset-based lending solutions.
- Lead discussions with complex clients and prospects on industry dynamics, alternative capital structures, and business issues.
- Coach and mentor peers, applying demonstrated leadership in a collaborative environment.
- Adapt to evolving sales practices and broader market and industry conditions as needed.
Requirements
- Direct calling experience at the CEO, CFO, and MD levels.
- Five or more years of experience in ABL lending.
- Strong oral, written, and analytical/credit skills.
- Ability to travel for in-person meetings.
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses (if not currently licensed, must be completed within 180 days of start).
