Business Development Account Manager for E-commerce
Job Description
This remote role at Qualcomm positions you as the lead strategist and coordinator for Arduino's international e-commerce expansion, overseeing end-to-end strategy and deployment of global digital sales channels.
Responsibilities
- Market assessment: Evaluate potential international markets by analyzing market size, consumer trends, and regional demand for Arduino solutions to guide expansion decisions.
- Strategic planning: Develop go-to-market strategies for new regions, incorporating localized marketing approaches and distribution logistics.
- Solution identification: Assess e-commerce platforms and third-party solutions to ensure a localized, seamless user experience.
- Stakeholder coordination: Align cross-functional teams on milestones and deployment timelines.
- Operational execution: Lead the setup of new storefronts, ensuring regulatory compliance and integration with internal systems.
- Operational execution: Manage the business on site or through local resources and agencies.
- Performance analysis: Track KPIs for new market entries, deliver ROI analysis, and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
- User experience optimization: Plan and run experiments such as conversion tests and funnel optimizations to maximize lead generation and sales.
- Go to market: Define and steer the go-to-market strategy, including marketing and advertising efforts.
Requirements
- E-commerce expertise: At least 5 years of experience managing and scaling e-commerce marketplaces (Amazon, Mercado Libre, FlipKart, Tmall, JD, etc.) across diverse countries and cultures, with a preference for Asia or LATAM regions.
- Relationship management: Ability to build rapport and influence internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Project management: Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to oversee multiple international projects concurrently and manage time effectively.
- Analytical mindset: Comfort working with complex data to justify decisions and adjust strategies based on performance metrics.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English; additional languages are a plus.
- Proactive and remote-ready: Self-starter who thrives in unstructured environments and can operate across different time zones.
- Technical affinity: Genuine interest in the Arduino ecosystem and the broader technology landscape.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
- Minimum education and experience: Bachelor's degree with 2+ years in Sales Operations or related work experience.
- Associate degree: 4+ years in Sales Operations or related work experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent: 6+ years in Sales Operations or related work experience.
- Advanced degrees: May substitute up to two years of work experience (Master's = one year, Doctorate = two years).
