Job Description

The Business Development Manager role centers on driving strategic partnerships and citywide initiatives across healthcare, travel and education sectors, with regional leadership responsibilities and supervision of a small inside sales team. This position focuses on executive-level relationship building, complex solution selling, and growing IBCCES initiatives in targeted markets.

Responsibilities

  • Source, pursue, and close high-value partnerships across healthcare, travel and hospitality, education, corporate sectors, and related fields
  • Lead citywide and regional certification initiatives that involve multiple stakeholders and partner organizations
  • Cultivate executive-level relationships with CEOs, board members, government leaders, and industry influencers
  • Represent IBCCES at conferences, trade shows, networking events, and executive meetings
  • Coordinate and attend smaller local networking events, business forums, and industry gatherings to advance regional relationship-building and brand visibility
  • Build connections with local organizations, chambers of commerce, healthcare groups, tourism leaders, schools, and community stakeholders
  • Engage in local opportunities to strengthen partnerships and generate business development prospects
  • Support grassroots relationship-building activities that contribute to larger citywide initiatives and strategic accounts
  • Direct and support a team of 2 to 4 inside sales representatives engaged with partners within the regional initiative
  • Apply a collaborative team-selling approach to advance opportunities through the sales cycle
  • Assist in developing outreach plans, account targeting strategies, and effective sales positioning
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior sales team members
  • Deliver professional presentations to high-level decision makers
  • Conduct both in-person and virtual meetings with enterprise-level clients
  • Establish deep, long-term relationships with strategic partners and industry leaders
  • Understand organizational structures, key influencers, and relationship dynamics within target accounts
  • Support expansion of IBCCES citywide initiatives across verticals including healthcare systems, travel and tourism organizations, attractions and destinations, educational institutions, and corporate spaces
  • Identify new partnership models and growth opportunities

Requirements

  • Must reside in the Greater Miami area
  • Minimum of 10 years in professional sales and business development
  • Proven success in securing executive-level meetings and closing large strategic deals
  • Strong experience in relationship-driven sales environments
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations and build strategic partnerships
  • Experience mentoring or managing sales teams
  • Strong networking capabilities and a professional presence

Compensation

USD 80,000 - 120,000 per year
