Business Development Manager- Transportation & Logistics
Job Description
This role focuses on developing new customer relationships and growing freight transportation business regionally, selling TL, LTL, and logistics services in a B2B environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow new business opportunities within freight transportation and logistics services
- Build long-term relationships with shippers and customers
- Identify customer transportation needs and present tailored logistics solutions
- Sell truckload (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL), and logistics service solutions
- Generate leads through prospecting, networking, referrals, and cold outreach
- Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure service execution and customer satisfaction
- Maintain and manage sales activity within HubSpot CRM
- Track pipeline activity, opportunities, and sales growth
- Represent MX Logistics professionally within the transportation and logistics marketplace
Requirements
- Must have 2+ years transportation sales
- Must have B2B sales experience
- Experience selling truckload (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL), freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation services strongly preferred
- Proven ability to develop new business relationships and generate sales growth
- Understanding of transportation pricing, carrier solutions, and customer shipping needs across multiple freight modes
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable prospecting and developing new customer opportunities
- CRM experience required; HubSpot experience is a plus
- Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams
- Ability to travel as required
