Business Development Specialist
Job Description
Fletco Construction in Fredericksburg, Texas is seeking a Business Development Specialist to expand its client network and uncover new project opportunities. This on-site, full-time role centers on identifying prospects, cultivating relationships with developers and partners, and shaping the growth strategy in collaboration with the leadership team while guiding proposals and RFP responses. The position sits at the intersection of business development, market insight, and cross-team collaboration across estimating and project management.
Responsibilities
- Identify and connect with potential clients through research, networking, and industry events
- Develop and sustain lasting relationships with developers, architects, and other key partners
- Collaborate with the leadership team to shape and drive the business development strategy
- Help craft compelling proposals and lead responses to RFPs
- Represent Fletco at events and promote our work across multiple platforms
- Track your sales pipeline and share insights to inform smarter growth decisions
- Stay ahead of market trends and pursue new project opportunities
- Work with the leadership team to shape and execute business development strategies
- Promote the company’s portfolio through digital platforms and marketing efforts
- Coordinate with estimating and project management teams to create proposals and respond to RFPs
- Provide updates to the team on progress and challenges, tracking efforts and outcomes
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client management—ideally in construction
- A strong understanding of the commercial construction market
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence in presenting and negotiating with clients
- Comfort with CRM tools and Microsoft Office
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
- A collaborative, proactive, and professional team player
