Client Relations and Business Development Director

The Shepherd Investigation Group (SIG) is building client relationships across Metro Atlanta and North Georgia, and it needs a contract Client Relations and Business Development partner who enjoys meeting people, creating connections, and turning conversations into long-term business. This 1099 independent-contractor role is designed for a part-time, flexible schedule with hybrid work in Flowery Branch, GA, combining remote outreach with in-person visits. SIG’s foundation centers on integrity and service, guided by John 3:16, and the expectation that every interaction reflects high standards of respect and professionalism.

What you’ll do

• Make outbound cold calls to attorneys, law firms, businesses, bonding companies, and other prospective clients.
• Visit attorney offices, courthouses, businesses, and professional locations to introduce SIG and develop relationships.
• Follow up with prospects and maintain professional client relationships.
• Respond to incoming business leads and continue follow-up through to the next step.
• Schedule consultations and support client intake.
• Conduct outreach through phone, email, and in person.
• Maintain accurate records of contacts, leads, follow-ups, and potential clients.
• Assist with administrative and client-service assignments when requested.
• Identify new markets and opportunities for SIG services.
• Professionally represent SIG in the community and at networking events.

Compensation and how earnings work

• This is a 1099 independent-contractor position with two primary forms of compensation.
• Approved administrative and client-service assignments are paid at $25–$30 per hour, based on experience, responsibilities, and the assignment.
• Cold calling, prospecting, networking, and new-client acquisition are primarily commission-driven activities.
• Contractors may earn additional compensation for successfully generating new clients and business in line with SIG’s commission structure.
• Specific compensation and commission terms will be provided in the independent-contractor agreement.
• Pay: $1,500.00 - $4,500.00 per month.

Availability & schedule

• Reliable availability is required during both morning and afternoon business hours.
• Some administrative and client-service tasks may be completed remotely.
• In-person business development and client-related assignments are required throughout Metro Atlanta and North Georgia.
• Rare after-hours situations may occur for last-minute or time-sensitive client issues, though after-hours requests are not expected to be a regular part of the role.

• Previous experience in business development, sales, client relations, legal services, law enforcement, private investigations, security, marketing, or professional networking is helpful but not required.
• Willing to maintain reasonable flexibility for rare, time-sensitive client needs.

Hybrid remote in Flowery Branch, GA 30542, serving Metro Atlanta / North Georgia with both in-person and remote outreach.
