Job Description

TriMark USA is hiring a Corporate Director, Business Development to expand new multi-unit and high-volume foodservice opportunities across the United States. This is an individual contributor role focused on pursuing new customer growth and identifying expansion projects that require foodservice equipment and related solutions.

Reporting to the Vice President, Strategic Partnerships, the role is remote and designed for a hunter mindset, with accountability for building a qualified pipeline and meeting business development and revenue objectives.

What you will do

  • Proactively identify, prospect, and develop new multi-unit, high-volume, and strategic foodservice opportunities across restaurant, hospitality, healthcare, assisted living, education, government, and other foodservice segments.
  • Build relationships with owners, executives, operators, purchasing leaders, culinary leaders, developers, and other key decision makers within targeted accounts.
  • Understand customer needs and connect those needs to foodservice equipment, supplies, and related solutions.
  • Research and target organizations representing new business opportunities, including emerging chains, multi-unit operators, hospitality groups, healthcare systems, and senior living organizations.
  • Create targeted strategies to penetrate accounts and develop new revenue streams.
  • Identify upcoming restaurant openings, remodels, expansions, conversions, acquisitions, and other capital projects that require foodservice equipment and related products.
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities and advance prospects through the sales process.
  • Use expertise in foodservice equipment, distribution, manufacturing, and related industries to understand buying processes and deliver value to customers and the organization.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturers, consultants, dealers, distributors, architects, design firms, and other industry partners to uncover opportunities and increase access to prospective customers.
  • Partner with sales, operations, strategic partnerships, project management, equipment specialists, and other internal teams to coordinate resources and transition qualified opportunities for execution.
  • Track prospecting activity and pipeline progress, providing visibility into opportunities, expected revenue, customer activity, and market developments.
  • Meet established business development and revenue objectives.

What you bring

  • Proven track record of hunting and developing new business, preferably within foodservice equipment, foodservice distribution, or an adjacent industry.
  • Strong understanding of foodservice operations, equipment, distribution channels, and the buying process across commercial and institutional foodservice.
  • Ability to identify and develop multi-unit, high-volume, and strategic account opportunities across multiple foodservice segments.
  • Experience selling to or building relationships with senior decision makers, including owners, executives, operators, purchasing leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong prospecting, networking, relationship-building, and business development skills with a sense of urgency and persistence.
  • Ability to recognize upcoming projects and expansion plans and convert them into qualified sales opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-driven mindset focused on new customer acquisition and measurable revenue growth.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent military or practical experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive business development experience, preferably in the foodservice equipment industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market presence in a competitive environment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, high-impact initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth organization and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

Compensation and eligibility

  • Base salary range: USD 150,000 - 175,000 per year.
  • Base salary reflects experience, skills, internal equity, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
  • This role may be eligible for TriMark benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, and 401K with employer match, plus additional programs such as tuition reimbursement, legal insurance, and more.
  • Leadership positions may qualify for bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
