National Sales Director
Job Description
Eurofins USA Clinical Diagnostics seeks a National Sales Director for Transplant Genomics to lead national sales strategy, manage a US sales team, oversee pricing and contracting, and collaborate across functions. This onsite role is based in Lenexa, KS, with travel up to 70 percent and reports to the President.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and manage the team to increase use of TGI's organ rejection portfolio through new account adoption and growth within existing accounts.
- Oversee the sales pipeline and implement effective sales management processes, including rigorous CRM utilization.
- Ensure consistent and timely execution of sales reporting metrics, strategies, and growth objectives.
- Partner with the President and Finance to manage top line forecasts and determine comp for the sales team.
- Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity; analyze trends and competitive strategies and provide feedback to leadership.
- Direct sales activities along the continuum from lead development and cold calling to onboarding and ongoing usage, moving prospects toward client status.
- Build relationships with key opinion leaders within accounts and cultivate a network of advocates.
- Foster collaboration with Eurofins Transplant sister companies to deliver outstanding service and drive revenue growth.
- Deliver formal sales presentations to new and existing customers, patients, and potential advocates.
- Strictly manage team expenses and ensure they stay within budget.
- Lead recruiting, hiring, training, and development of direct reports.
- Demonstrate the ability to compare and contrast diagnostic technologies used in the transplant market; discuss organ rejection and biomarker monitoring.
- Understand basic requirements for Electronics Medical Record interfaces and coordinate with Transplant Diagnostics interfaces professionals on implementation of conductivity solutions for customers.
- Exhibit strong leadership through supervision, coaching, and mentorship; resolve conflicts and address significant issues.
- Leverage a broad internal and external network to support sales efforts.
- Represent the department and organization in alignment with company standards and values at all times.
- Travel up to 70 percent.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- Approximately 10 years of experience in Molecular Diagnostics, with transplant experience highly preferred; at least 4 years in a senior management role is recommended.
- Success in direct-bill, buy-and-bill, or capital sales and value analysis pricing and billing models.
- Experience leading a sales team, preferably within a matrix organization.
- In-depth knowledge of laboratory services or diagnostics, with transplantation or hepatology favored.
- Solid understanding of current US healthcare trends to integrate into national and local sales strategies.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth.
- Strong skills in strategic planning, budgeting, commission and incentive reporting, and sales analytics.
- Analytical mindset with solid financial acumen and familiarity with P/L concepts.
- Experience working in a diverse team environment; ability to lead and coach peers and direct reports.
- Excellent coordination, problem solving, conflict resolution, and consensus-building abilities.
- Willingness to work outside normal business hours as required.
- Capacity to make independent decisions on significant matters.
- Goal oriented with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; detail oriented.
- Proficiency with PC-based software programs; ability to plan and manage at strategic and operational levels.

Physical Requirements
- Physical dexterity to operate a keyboard and other office equipment, and to handle files and other items at various heights.
- Ability to speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly in person, by phone, and in group settings.
- Ability to continuously operate a personal computer for extended periods (four or more hours).
- Mental acuity to collect and interpret data, evaluate and reason, define problems, establish facts, and make sound judgments.
- Must be vaccinated against the novel COVID-19 virus variants or provide approved exemption documentation.
