Regional Sales Manager & Trainer
Job Description
Regional Sales Manager and Trainer role based in San Jose, onsite, with travel across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Elevate and continuously improve onboarding training for all new salespeople.
- Deliver ongoing training for both new hires and tenured reps to sharpen skills and reinforce best practices.
- Conduct field one-on-one coaching, presentation coaching, and classroom-style sessions.
- Serve as the internal expert on sales methodology, product knowledge, and in-home sales best practices.
- Coordinate and lead regular sales meetings, including agenda preparation and follow-through.
- Partner with HR and local General Managers to support recruiting needs across all locations.
- Identify, attract, and evaluate strong sales talent that fits our culture and standards.
- Contribute to a consistent, compelling candidate experience that reflects who we are.
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics for new hires throughout onboarding and beyond.
- Identify trends, flag early concerns, and provide timely, actionable feedback to salespeople and local managers.
- Build and execute performance improvement plans when needed.
- Ensure alignment with the company sales playbook, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- 5+ years of field sales experience in home improvement or adjacent industries, specifically in B2C in-home sales.
- Proven track record of training, coaching, and developing sales teams.
- High energy, self-motivated, and comfortable driving results independently across multiple locations.
- Strong ability to analyze sales performance data and translate it into clear action plans.
- Experience working cross-functionally with HR, operations, and local leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective one-on-one and in front of a room.
- Willingness to travel across regional locations.
Location
This role is based in the San Francisco East Bay area and may require travel to multiple locations, including Los Angeles, CA; San Diego, CA; and Seattle, WA.
Compensation
Base salary: $150,000 – $200,000 per year.
Bonus structure: Uncapped performance bonuses tied to new salesperson recruitment, retention of new hires, and the sales results of the reps you train and develop.
