Regional Sales Manager & Trainer - Home Improvement Sales
Job Description
Based in Stockton, CA (onsite), this Regional Sales Manager & Trainer role centers on elevating sales training, supporting recruitment across locations, and tracking performance with regional travel to Los Angeles, San Diego, and Seattle. You will drive onboarding excellence, mentor sales teams, and ensure alignment with our sales playbook while advancing our hiring and development programs.

Compensation
Base salary ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 per year. Uncapped performance bonuses are tied to new salesperson recruitment, retention of new hires, and the sales results of the reps you train and develop. There is significant opportunity for advancement as the company grows.
Location & Travel
This role is based in Stockton, CA (onsite) and requires travel across regional locations including Los Angeles, CA; San Diego, CA; and Seattle, WA.
What you will do
- Elevate and continuously improve the onboarding training program for all new salespeople
- Deliver ongoing training for both new hires and tenured reps to sharpen skills and reinforce best practices
- Conduct field one-on-one coaching, presentation coaching, and classroom-style sessions
- Serve as the internal expert on sales methodology, product knowledge, and in-home sales best practices
- Coordinate and lead regular sales meetings, including agenda preparation and follow-through
Recruitment Support
- Partner closely with HR and local General Managers to support recruiting needs across all locations
- Help identify, attract, and evaluate strong sales talent that fits our culture and standards
- Contribute to a consistent, compelling candidate experience that reflects who we are
Performance Monitoring & Feedback
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics for new hires throughout onboarding and beyond
- Identify trends, flag early concerns, and deliver timely, actionable feedback to salespeople and local managers
- Build and execute performance improvement plans when needed
- Ensure alignment with company sales playbook, policies, and procedures
Requirements
- 5+ years of field sales experience in home improvement or adjacent industries, specifically in B2C in-home sales
- Proven track record of training, coaching, and developing sales teams
- High energy, self-motivated, and comfortable driving results independently across multiple locations
- Strong ability to analyze sales performance data and translate it into clear action plans
- Experience working cross-functionally with HR, operations, and local leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective one-on-one and in front of a room
- Comfortable with travel across regional locations
