Retail Regional Sales Manager
Job Description
Truist Bank seeks a Retail Regional Sales Manager in College Park, MD (onsite) to lead the Retail Mortgage Sales team, drive regional production growth, and manage relationships within the bank's retail mortgage business. Base salary is $95,000-$100,000 per year, with incentive opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Lead regional production growth by building and coaching a profitable sales team through effective recruiting, retention, and development efforts.
- Understand and communicate mortgage lending strategy, policies, and procedures to customers, teammates, internal and external referral sources, and the area managed.
- Execute area strategic direction, including new business development, deepening existing relationships, expanding market share, and driving integrated relationship management; promote inclusive and affordable housing lending for low to moderate income markets.
- Improve client service quality by guiding the team's adoption of digital client experiences, technology, and streamlined mortgage processes to strengthen relationships with clients, COIs, and Truist teammates.
- Note: The role may speak with clients for customer service purposes but cannot take applications, negotiate terms, extend credit, or advertise the ability to perform such activities as an RSM.
- Maintain knowledge of local real estate market conditions, mortgage product and process trends, and competitive positioning; provide feedback and solutions on mortgage lending delivery capabilities when requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related experience
- 3+ years mortgage industry experience
- 2+ years managerial experience
- Strong understanding of mortgage lending and product lines; proven ability to manage internal and external relationships and partnerships
- Ability to manage producing sales managers and MLOs, coordinate fulfillment with operations teammates, and maintain internal and external referral sources
- Proven ability to recruit and retain productive, engaged teammates
- Registered and maintains an active Truist sponsored registration in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLSR) with a unique identifier number in compliance with the SAFE Act requirements
