Sales Development Representative
Job Description
The Sales Development Representative role at MicroAI, based onsite in Irving, TX, centers on lead generation, opportunity development, meetings coordination, CRM-driven sales activities, and mentoring SDRs to drive growth in the business.
Responsibilities
- Perform secondary market research and generate leads from marketing campaigns and proactive outreach to develop qualified sales opportunities.
- Contact potential clients via cold calls and targeted emails.
- Conduct secondary lead generation to identify new business opportunities.
- Proactively pursue new business opportunities in the market.
- Arrange meetings and calls between qualified prospects and the sales or delivery teams.
- Expand wallet share with newly acquired clients by broadening the scope of engagement over time.
- Report sales results to the leadership team on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis and manage leads and activities in CRM while tracking progress toward goals.
- Mentor Sales Development Representatives, guiding them on sales processes, industry dynamics, business scoping, lead quality, and lead conversation.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments.
Requirements
- 6 to 8 or more years of experience as a Sales Executive, Business Development Representative, or similar role.
- Preferred industry backgrounds include selling software and SaaS solutions to industrial manufacturers or OEMs of industrial equipment, as well as telecom and telecom OEMs with connected devices and machines.
- Proven experience selling to cold prospects and maintaining resilience in the face of rejection.
- Track record of achieving objectives under metric-driven bonus plans.
- Experience with CRM software and strong skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint for developing and presenting analyses.
- Understanding of sales performance metrics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver engaging presentations.
- Ability to apply sales strategies suitable for a technology company.
