Sales Development Representative
Job Description
The Sales Development Representative is an on-site role in Orange, CA with UHSM, a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to affordable healthcare. You will engage prospective individuals and families, generate qualified opportunities, and support Account Executives in moving deals across the UHSM healthcare solutions spectrum. This fast-paced position offers an hourly rate of $23 and operates from our Orange, CA office.
Responsibilities
- Learn and become an expert on UHSM product offerings.
- Leverage market insights to inform outreach and strategy.
- Contact leads via phone, auto-dialer, email, and web chat to qualify prospects and promote UHSM products and services.
- Answer inbound calls from prospective new members to pre-qualify opportunities for the Account Executive team.
- Collaborate with teammates to meet conversion, acquisition, and revenue goals.
- Maintain detailed records of outgoing and incoming calls, follow-ups, and outcomes.
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly performance targets.
- Address customer complaints or concerns with products and resolve issues per company policy.
- Accurately document customer information including phone numbers, addresses, and order details.
- Engage customers to explain how UHSM products and services add value and meet their needs.
- Ask relevant leading questions to uncover customer needs.
- Follow prepared scripts to provide accurate and compliant information.
- Share insights with the team on best practices, market sentiment, and competitive pressures.
Requirements
- 6+ months of customer service, sales, or sales development experience, or a recent bachelor's degree graduate.
- 6+ months of experience with CRM or sales enablement software.
- Ability to work on-site in Orange, CA.
- Healthcare sales experience.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to accept constructive criticism and continually improve sales techniques.
- Creativity, curiosity, and a drive to find the third alternative when challenges arise.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Avid learner in a company that is continually evolving.
- Proven experience in achieving or exceeding sales goals.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree.
