Job Description

Wyld is hiring a Sales Manager to lead state-level revenue growth and build a high-performing sales team in Ridgefield, NJ (onsite).

Responsibilities

  • Own overall sales performance and execution within the state, including revenue growth, market share, and profitability
  • Develop and lead strategic plans aligned to company objectives and updated as market conditions change
  • Drive consistent sales execution with strong distribution, in-store presence, and customer experience
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team, building a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
  • Set clear expectations, performance standards, and team development plans
  • Maintain a strong field presence to stay connected to execution and market dynamics, with 60-80% of time in market
  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, partners, and stakeholders across the market
  • Oversee account strategy and execution to support long-term growth and brand positioning
  • Act as a senior point of contact for critical customer needs and opportunities
  • Partner with internal teams including Distribution, Operations, Finance, and Marketing to ensure alignment and execution excellence
  • Support planning, forecasting, and resource allocation to drive effective execution
  • Ensure adherence to company standards, processes, and regulatory requirements
  • Use data and market insights to inform decisions, identify opportunities, and communicate performance to leadership
  • Identify opportunities, risks, and market trends, and translate them into actionable strategies
  • Take on additional leadership responsibilities and strategic initiatives as the business evolves

Requirements

  • 7+ years of direct sales, sales operations, or related field experience, including CPG and wholesaler exposure
  • Progressive sales experience or multi-state or regional leadership preferred
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales, distributor models, and regulated markets (cannabis or CPG strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to develop talent, improve execution, and deliver results across diverse markets
  • Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving organization with significant travel
  • Experience working with a high sense of urgency in a team environment or independently
  • Strong communication skills to lead peers and collaborate across teams
  • Ability to work urgently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Professional handling of confidential and sensitive information
  • Familiarity with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and work management tools such as Slack, Jira, or similar
  • Ability to travel occasionally between company buildings or work sites as needed
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, as required by applicable state regulations
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check, where permitted by law
  • Must obtain and maintain all required licenses, permits, certifications, or registrations under applicable federal, state, provincial, or local laws and regulations
  • ServSafe Certification or Food Handler’s Card preferred, where applicable
  • Compliance with all company safety, sanitation, quality, and food safety policies at all times
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule
