Sales Manager
Job Description
Arlington Memorial Park is seeking a Sales Manager for an onsite role in Greenfield, WI focused on leading sales performance, staff training, and sales compliance.
Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed established location sales quotas
- Ensure Sales Counselors follow training manual methods while complying with Company policies and procedures
- Provide initial and ongoing sales instruction so Sales Counselors meet or exceed customer needs
- Serve as the primary reference for Sales Counselors on aftercare process, prospecting, product knowledge, sales presentations, closing skills, prices, terms, paperwork, sales guideline questions, compliance issues, and delivery of customer service
- Develop marketing programs aligned to community geography, demographics, ethnicity, or religions
- Analyze and monitor competitor pricing
- Plan and participate in community events to develop prospects and increase location awareness
- Review pre-need contracts and at-need cemetery contracts for compliance with HMIS and applicable state/provincial and federal laws
- Approve all customer discounts
- Prepare reports demonstrating compliance with financial controls
- Maintain marketing materials, training manuals, sales equipment, and other sales supplies
- Ensure sales programs, incentives, awards, and sales presentations are budgeted, approved, and align with Company policies
- Keep sales rooms and offices clean and organized to support a professional environment for Sales Counselors and the public
- Ensure Sales Counselors follow the Code of Conduct and obtain proper licensure
- Maintain sales practices in compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local regulations
Requirements
- High school or equivalent
- 3-5 years of Sales Management experience required
- Valid state/province driver’s license with a good driving record
- Insurance license as required by state/province law and as prescribed by each state board
- Working knowledge of Windows-based PC environment and MS Office applications
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work beyond standard business hours when necessary to service customers
- Ability to set goals for employees that are challenging but achievable

Education
- High school or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience
- Sales Management experience of 3-5 years required
- Sales Counselor and sales supervisory experience preferred
- Experience presenting, training, coaching, and motivating salespeople and sales forces a plus
Licenses
- Valid state/province driver’s license with good driving record
- Insurance license as required by state/province law and as prescribed by each state board
Compensation
$95,700 - $184,400 per year (earnings potential)
