Sales Manager/Technical Sales Representative
Job Description
Peaker Services, Inc is seeking a skilled Sales Manager/Technical Sales Representative to join its Brighton, Michigan team in a hybrid work arrangement. The role emphasizes driving growth across the company’s products, services, and systems, while cultivating durable customer relationships and guiding strategic sales initiatives. Depending on experience, you may contribute as an individual contributor or take on broader sales leadership and coordination responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed sales targets for the company’s products, services, and systems while managing selling expenses.
- Build and sustain strong relationships across all levels, from the boardroom to the engine room.
- Lead sales calls, product demonstrations, and presentations.
- Identify opportunities and maintain accurate reporting of sales activity, forecasts, and objectives.
- Support bids, quotes, and pricing strategies.
- Assist marketing efforts, promotions, and advertising initiatives.
- Track customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute ideas for new products, services, and sales approaches.
- Help educate and train customers and internal teams.
- Assist with budgeting requirements.
- Align with Company management theory and guiding principles.
- Coordinate and drive sales efforts and strategy across markets or territories.
- Develop and manage sales forecasts and market segment plans.
- Oversee maintenance contract administration.
- Mentor and support sales team members.
- Contribute to strategic planning and product/service development decisions.
- Monitor performance metrics and drive system improvements.
- Represent the sales function in cross-functional leadership discussions.
Requirements
- Understanding and adoption of Company management theory.
- Familiarity with the Theory of Profound Knowledge (Dr. W. Edwards Deming).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proficiency with personal computers and relevant software.
- Ability to communicate both technical details and business value of products and systems.
- Experience with sales processes, customer relationship management, and territory planning.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and presentation skills.
General
Assist in furthering the Mission of the Company. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, developing customer relationships, and supporting strategic sales initiatives. Depending on experience, candidates may operate in an individual contributor capacity or take on broader sales leadership and coordination responsibilities.
Pay
$78,000 - $164,000 per year
