Job Description

Senior Living Sales Manager driving territory outreach and admissions across the Greater Twin Cities metro for Sunflower Communities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a territory based, full‑cycle sales process focusing on lead generation, tour conversion, and move‑ins.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with hospitals, SNFs, TCUs, discharge planners, case managers, and social workers; guide families through tours and decisions at the Waconia and Elmore communities.
  • Leverage proactive outreach and persistent follow‑up; success hinges on the ability to close, not just inbound inquiries.
  • Establish referral partnerships with health systems, nursing facilities, and community partners.
  • Generate leads and maintain a pipeline of prospective residents and families.
  • Convert referrals into tours and tours into move‑ins.
  • Educate families on care needs, timing, and how the community fits their goals.
  • Maintain consistent follow‑up with referral sources and prospects.
  • Represent Sunflower Communities at networking and outreach events.
  • Track performance metrics including lead sources, tours, move‑ins, and lost opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience in medical sales, pharmaceutical sales, DME, senior living, home care, hospice, or healthcare sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate net‑new business and close deals consistently.
  • Strong touring, objection handling, and closing skills.
  • Experience managing a pipeline with multiple active prospects and timelines.
  • Understanding of conversion metrics, follow‑up cadence, and sales discipline.
  • Willingness to travel across Waconia, Elmore, and surrounding referral territories.

Compensation & Earnings

  • Base salary range: $90,000 to $130,000 per year.
  • Commission paid per move‑in, linked to occupancy growth.
  • Current average commission around $15,000 annually, with higher upside for top performers.
  • Income potential grows with pipeline, referral flow, tours, and conversion rate improvements.
