Job Description
The Senior Sales Director at Syneos Health leads a district based sales organization, overseeing District Managers and Sales Representatives within a designated franchise. Responsibilities
- Direct district managers and coordinate with sales representatives, including selection, evaluation, and retention of personnel.
- Oversee training for district managers and representatives, delivering ongoing coaching through continuous feedback.
- Collaborate with the training department to provide effective new hire training, ongoing education, and workshops for district and national meetings.
- Foster a climate of trust that supports open communication, decisive decision making, and accountability.
- Inspire ownership, accountability, initiative, and engagement by communicating vision, objectives, performance outcomes, and action steps.
- Demonstrate a strong drive to achieve business goals and assess how external events influence franchise strategies.
- Approve and assist with the implementation of district and territory plans within the franchise.
- Apply strategic thinking and clear communication to collaborate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
- Identify issues and opportunities and use analytical rigor to frame situations.
- Incorporate new perspectives and develop solutions or recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with promotional regulations and monitor the team's adherence to approved materials and messaging.
- Review employee performance and address development needs to meet performance objectives.
- Provide feedback to the marketing department on sales and educational materials.
- Establish communication plans to engage the team and gather feedback.
- Collaborate with functional leaders across marketing, managed care, HR, and operations.
- Manage the franchise budget and expenses, maximizing revenue while controlling costs.
- Travel frequently within franchise districts and to corporate offices.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree required; Master of Science or MBA preferred.
- More than ten years of pharmaceutical sales experience, including at least five years in sales leadership.
- Experience with pain therapies is strongly preferred.
- Ability to identify high impact strategies and implement business plans effectively.
- Proven track record in franchise selling environments.
- Strong negotiation and cross functional influence skills.
- Able to travel and hold a valid driver's license.
