Senior Sales Director, Mid-Market
Job Description
This onsite role in Richmond, Virginia leads a mid-market sales organization, directing a team of Sales Managers to drive revenue growth, renewals, and expanded revenue opportunities across major markets. The position offers a salary range of USD 95,000 to 125,000 per year and requires a Bachelor's degree along with at least five years of sales leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, develop and retain a high-performing team of Sales Managers and Sales Associates capable of meeting or exceeding defined targets, driving active user growth and net new revenue.
- Partner with Sales Managers to cultivate strong leadership, providing guidance to grow their teams and increase market penetration in key regions.
- Set and monitor individual and team targets aligned with company goals; address performance issues promptly and implement staff changes as needed to meet targets.
- Ensure hiring of top talent and ongoing development of A players; cultivate leadership skills among Sales Managers to coach their teams effectively, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Identify training needs and address skill gaps and performance issues within the sales force as appropriate.
- Develop and execute sales plans to reach corporate objectives and enforce performance standards.
- Coach and mentor all members of the team.
- Act as a key member of the senior sales leadership group, supporting the executive team in achieving company goals.
- Promote and embed CoStar Group culture and values within the team.
Requirements
- Seven or more years in a sales leadership role within multifamily or commercial real estate, managing a team of five or more employees, including attracting, hiring, training, and developing a high-performing sales team.
- Experience managing a book of business with annual revenue above USD 1 million.
- Five or more years directing sales efforts in a highly transactional, fast-paced organization with a short cycle-time sales model.
- A track record of commitment to prior employers.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited not-for-profit, in-person college or university.
