Job Description

This full-time Venue Sales Manager role leads the sales program for The Judge Morris Estate, onsite in Newark, DE, with commission-based earnings between $65,000 and $90,000 per year and growth potential.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to inquiries and qualify leads across in-person, phone, and email channels.
  • Advance prospects to signed contracts and maintain ongoing client relationships.
  • Lead venue personnel, including event designers and site supervisors, to ensure events align with the client's vision.
  • Engage corporate partners and other social organizations through targeted outreach.
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in venue open house events.
  • Arrange and conduct venue tours.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Operations Manager to oversee property management and upkeep.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum eight years of full-time work experience, including three to five years in commission-based sales (non-retail).
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Sales CRM, and related software.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during peak wedding seasons.
  • Excellent references validating sales, leadership, and management abilities.
  • Hospitality background or familiarity with the food and beverage industry is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
