Sales Manager

At Aloft Delray Beach in Delray Beach, FL, this role centers on driving group and corporate revenue while working closely with internal teams and clients to deliver smooth event experiences. The position supports sales planning, negotiations, and event execution so you can contribute directly to hotel performance, with a compensation range of USD 52,000 to 57,000 per year. You will collaborate with leadership and stay connected to active business through calls, referrals, outside sales visits, and networking.

What you’ll do

• Plan, sell, and coordinate group and corporate meetings, banquets, and room sales to meet established revenue goals.
• Negotiate room and catering rates, dates, and available space for groups of all sizes.
• Assist marketing efforts to support group sales growth.
• Book new and repeat business through calls, referrals, outside sales visits, and networking.
• Partner with the Director of Sales on pricing, goals, and promotions.
• Plan event details with clients, including space, menus, and billing, with opportunities to upsell when possible.
• Work events alongside catering staff to support successful execution.
• Prepare contracts and share client requirements with relevant hotel departments.
• Resolve client concerns quickly and professionally to maintain confidence throughout the process.
• Keep accurate records, contracts, and group histories.

What you bring

• Hotel sales or hospitality experience is helpful, but not required.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and customer-service skills.
• High organization and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple accounts.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable using computers, email, and spreadsheets (technologies used in the role include these tools).
• Motivation to meet sales goals in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule and reporting

• Reports to: Director of Sales / General Manager (in property) and Regional Director of Sales (out of property).
• Hours: minimum 50 hours over five days; schedule varies with business needs.
• Weekend availability is required.
