Western Regional Sales Manager
Job Description
Nulite Lighting is seeking a Western Regional Sales Manager to drive growth across the western United States from a Denver-based, hybrid position. You will lead the regional plan, manage the rep network, and develop agency, specifier, and end-user relationships to meet or exceed the regional sales budget. The role offers a salary range of $90,000 to $130,000 annually and prefers candidates with a college degree and at least five years of relevant technical electrical sales experience, with LED knowledge being a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Implement sales strategy and regional goals by forecasting requirements, preparing the annual budget, optimizing regional time use, and managing expenditures.
- Develop an annual strategic market penetration plan by agent and product with clear growth targets.
- Train agents on Nulite products, technologies, and applications.
- Motivate, train, and manage agents to achieve territory objectives, implement selling initiatives, conduct joint customer visits, and replace underperformers as needed.
- Collaborate with specifiers and agents to promote and secure Nulite specifications and orders.
- Direct large quotation strategies on a project-by-project basis.
- Monitor representation to ensure optimal coverage across the region.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and the company to resolve service, product, or related issues.
- Respond promptly to complaints with a sense of urgency and drive internal follow-up to ensure accountability and resolution.
- Initiate corrective actions to address trends of non-compliance in the product line.
- Complete special management-requested projects and maintain visibility as a sales leader, mentoring the broader sales team and sustaining high morale.
- Align with company goals, objectives, and policies.
Requirements
- College degree preferred. Five years of applicable technical electrical experience with LED and sales may substitute for a degree.
- Experience in lighting, electrical, or construction industries highly preferred.
- Basic or advanced computer skills; proficiency in standard office software.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail.
- Well-organized with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; capable of interfacing with personnel at all levels.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to follow verbal or written directions.
- Knowledge of Nulite Lighting products and markets is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to handle administrative details and routine issues with minimal supervision; tact, discretion, and integrity in confidential contexts.

Purpose of Position
- The primary responsibility is to meet or exceed the regional sales budget by developing and maintaining agency, key specifier, and end-user relationships; act as the brand's primary contact within the territory.
- Achieved through effective management and execution of the regional plan and by growing Nulite profitability, mind-share, and discretionary business within the rep network.
Strategic / Planning
- Conduct quarterly regional reviews with upper management to address performance against goals, rep changes, concerns, objections, and opportunities.
- Provide product and market trend input to engineering, new product development, and marketing as requested.
- Develop collaborative relationships with Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Marketing to drive growth, customer satisfaction, and issue resolution.
- Represent Nulite at trade meetings, shows, and agent or company events as required.
- Stay current on industry trends through education, publications, and professional networks.
Communication
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
- Make informed, profitable decisions in the field based on experience.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects without compromising deadlines.
Job Qualifications

Working Conditions
- Large territory with extensive travel, at least 50% of the time.
- Travel typically 2 to 3 days per trip, with occasional 5-day trips; manage own travel schedules and timely expense reporting.
