Job Overview
The Business Development Manager supports the organization in reaching its overall financial goals in the Permian/Delaware Basin. In this highly visible role, the position seeks to deliver profitability and growth in line with the company vision and values.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow the existing customer base by fostering long-term relationships.
- Monitor personal sales metrics and communications, submitting results to the Director of Sales during period reviews.
- Expand the customer base by meeting with prospective clients and informing them of the advantages of Well Master products and services.
- Assist the Director of Global Business Development and management on sales initiatives and fill gaps as needed.
- Drive growth in new and early-stage markets.
- Respond to requests for proposals and process orders.
- Travel regularly to visit current and potential customers.
- Conduct proactive goodwill calls with customers.
- Interpret and manage customer requirements.
- Qualify needs and design solutions that deliver value to end users.
- Develop and implement strategic action plans, especially for new markets and ventures.
- Prepare quotations for the West Texas sales team.
- Negotiate tender and contract terms and close sales on approved terms.
- Resolve customer conflicts effectively and professionally.
- Prepare the organization for large scale projects and provide after-sales support as needed.
- Administer accounts and analyze costs and sales data.
- Prepare reports for the head office and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Maintain accurate customer contact data and participate in marketing events such as trade shows and conferences.
- Deliver technical presentations and demonstrate how products meet customer needs.
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
- Collaborate with other members of the sales team and technical experts to solve customer problems.
- Assist in designing custom products and solutions and produce required training and support materials.
- Participate in ongoing education to learn about new products and improved sales techniques.
- Utilize Customer Relationship Management tools to track progress with customers.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and follow-up.
- Strong listening skills and effective note-taking abilities.
- Advanced computer skills and highly organized efficiency.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and maintain professionalism.
- Willingness to travel to customers daily and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional presentation skills for audiences of one to twenty.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Strong analytical capabilities and conflict resolution skills.
- Positive attitude and solid business acumen to convey value propositions.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Four-year undergraduate degree preferred but not required.

Compensation
Base salary ranges from USD 65,000 to USD 95,000 annually. Eligible for commission and bonus pay. This is a full-time position.
