Located in Liberty County, Texas, Hometown Hospice seeks a results-driven Business Development Manager to strengthen referral networks and drive census growth across Liberty and neighboring communities. This onsite role centers on building trusted relationships with physicians, healthcare partners, and key decision-makers, while advocating for compassionate, high-quality hospice care within the medical community.

Job Summary

Hometown Hospice is looking for a self-driven, compassionate Community Liaison to serve Liberty County and the surrounding area, including Liberty, Dayton, Mont Belvieu, Harding, Anahuac, Kountz, Sour Lake, and Baytown. The role emphasizes relationship-building with physicians, discharge planners, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to support census growth and the delivery of patient-centered care. The position operates within a collaborative, supportive culture that prioritizes meaningful community impact.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, including physicians and healthcare partners, to strengthen collaboration and trust within the medical community.
  • Serve as an advocate for hospice services through regular outreach that demonstrates a commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.
  • Help expand the hospice presence across the service area by positioning it as the provider of choice to support growth and census targets.
  • Drive referral growth through intentional visits with referring physicians, hospital discharge planners, skilled nursing facilities, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Support patients and families during critical moments by leading initial conversations about hospice care, clearly explaining services and philosophy, and facilitating consent with empathy and respect.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; additional experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
  • Minimum two years of sales or marketing experience in healthcare required; hospice or palliative care marketing experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with staff, marketing contracts, and clinical teams to ensure thorough understanding of hospice services.
  • Track record of building and sustaining relationships with new and existing accounts, including physicians, healthcare professionals, and community agencies.
  • Prior clinical experience is a plus.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.

Location and Compensation

  • Location: Liberty County, TX (onsite)
  • Work location: On the road
  • Salary: USD 70,000 - 95,000 per year
  • Notes: The stated base pay range is indicative and not a guaranteed offer. Final compensation is determined based on relevant experience and the specific responsibilities of the role and will be discussed during the interview process.
