Business Development Manager (Applications Sales Engineer)
Job Description
Regional Business Development Manager, Applications Sales Engineer, for the West Region at Linde, responsible for identifying, developing and signing new business opportunities with regional sales, leveraging technical expertise and Linde technologies portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop new accounts and expand existing customers within the defined territory.
- Prospect, generate leads, and qualify opportunities.
- Shape market and customer strategy.
- Build and analyze business cases.
- Prepare proposals and advise on technology pricing.
- Provide sales technical support.
- Oversee project implementation and startup activities.
- Drive profitable sales growth aligned with regional and national objectives.
- Continuously identify and evaluate potential markets and niches.
- Monitor regional economic and project activity, competition, and evolving industry needs.
- Design and execute market initiatives, growth campaigns, and customer communications.
- Track competitive activity in the territory and formulate appropriate response strategies.
- Understand financials, user needs, internal operations, competitive advantages, and Linde portfolio value and differentiators.
- Establish and grow relationships with prospective customers, industry consultants, and vendors.
- Collaborate with internal partners including sales, Linde Technology, National BD, applications equipment, and customer service.
- Leverage all available Linde resources to achieve goals.
- Work with other BD personnel, key accounts, and sales teams to shape sales strategies.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree; BS preferred, engineering/technical background highly preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years in technical sales within the relevant industry.
- Travel: Ability to travel 50% or more is required.
- Track record: Proven ability to acquire and grow a customer base, demonstrate resilience, and drive results.

- Salary: USD 88,875 - 130,350 per year (pay commensurate with experience)
