Job Description

The Asset Finance Practice BD Manager leads marketing and business development initiatives within the Financial Services Section, coordinating with practice leaders and firm-wide resources to drive growth.

General Description

Serves as the primary marketing professional for assigned practices in the Firm's Financial Services Section, collaborating with practice leaders to develop strategies and implement marketing and business development activities, and sharing best practices with other practice marketing and business development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build familiarity with the practice, clients, target markets, and relevant resources (trade and industry organizations, publications) for assigned practices.
  • Develop, execute, and monitor business plans for the assigned practices.
  • Plan, administer, and track the practice marketing budgets.
  • Collaborate with practice leaders to identify appropriate marketing activities and initiatives.
  • Create and maintain collateral materials, including brochures, deal or case lists, practice descriptions, and other website content.
  • Prepare for and participate in all assigned practice meetings.
  • Assess opportunities and assist in crafting responses to RFPs and pitches for new business.
  • Direct research efforts on trends, issues, and targeted companies in the assigned areas.
  • Partner with Public Relations to identify opportunities to promote results, standout attorneys, or other work products for the assigned practices.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and leverage successes across groups within the firm.
  • Collaborate with designated professionals to maintain CRM and engagement databases for assigned practices.
  • Manage the team’s presence at events and conferences, including planning, execution, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate with Regional Marketing Managers to organize on-site activities in other offices, such as seminars, events, and sponsorships.
  • Travel to other firm offices and event/conference locations as needed.
  • Maintain a regular, predictable work schedule and full engagement during business hours unless otherwise approved or required by law.
  • Support special projects and duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for developing new marketing initiatives with the practice development team and Practice Group lawyers.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • Diplomacy and discretion when working with attorneys and clients.

Job Details

  • Location: Nashville, TN onsite
  • Salary: USD 138,000 - 208,000 per year
  • Experience: Minimum 6 years
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
