The Sales Manager at Hutton Hotel in Nashville, TN, onsite, is responsible for soliciting new business, negotiating contracts, and driving revenue in coordination with the Director of Sales, including cross-segment selling to maximize hotel performance.
Responsibilities
- Employ market analysis tools and firsthand observations to assess competitive dynamics, monitor trends, and identify client needs.
- Actively pursue new business from prospects using proven sales methods aligned with the hotel brand and vision.
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales and fellow Sales Managers to achieve revenue and market share targets, supporting cross-segment selling as needed.
- Oversee the client contract lifecycle, including negotiation, terms, and supplemental solution proposals, ensuring all data required for execution and billing is captured.
- Coordinate and conduct site tours to highlight features that meet client needs and enhance overall satisfaction.
- Maintain purposeful communication and build enduring relationships with clients to uncover expectations and latent needs.
- Promote brand loyalty programs, drive participation, and present suitable rate packages and upgrades when appropriate.
- Liaise with hotel departments to ensure timely delivery of client expectations, fulfillment of needs, and resolution of issues.
- Maintain a professional demeanor aligned with the hotel brand and company standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably in hotels or related fields.
- 4 year degree in hospitality management or sales preferred, or equivalent experience and education.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including electronic correspondence.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in the workplace's primary language.
- Full-time work entails 8 or more hours per day at a desk/computer, with standing and walking during the day as needed.
- Ability to lift, lower, and maneuver up to 10 pounds occasionally.
- Manual dexterity and repetitive motions are required throughout the workday.
