Small Business Sales Manager
Job Description
Lead a small business sales team in Nashville while driving organic, profitable growth and strong recurring revenue performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage sales teams across defined territory and region(s), selling diverse products to businesses while increasing recurring revenue contribution and profitable installation dollars
- Implement and administer sales programs in residential consumer markets to maximize profitable opportunities
- Partner with local ADT installation management to support effective completion and maximize customer satisfaction and profitability
- Mentor, develop, motivate, and coach Sales Representatives through regular communication of results and job expectations
- Create and track performance metrics for sales teams; monitor results to drive improvement
- Provide performance feedback and recommendations; conduct annual performance reviews/appraisals
- Participate in recruiting activities to select and hire new Sales Representatives, as required
- Build organic, self-generated lead programs and train representatives to work closely with defined GOLD promoters to increase self-generation contribution
- Conduct regular ride-alongs and monitor progress of both new and existing representatives
- Ensure adherence to current ADT policies, procedures, products, programs, pricing, budget, technologies, and services through timely communication
- Hold regular sales meetings with Sales Representatives (minimum weekly)
- Collaborate across levels, from executives to installers, and support problem solving and conflict resolution
- Model and champion ADT values; help maintain a safe environment for discussing and resolving values-related concerns
- Work in a dynamic, collaborative environment with customers and coworkers
- May require driving to perform job responsibilities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years proven sales or sales supervisory experience
- Proven success in consumer/residential sales or related industries supporting large accounts
- Track record of developing a professional business team
- Passionate leadership with strong local community presence and recognition
- Demonstrated success closing high dollar sales and managing large bids
- Ability to educate consumers on products and services using consultative selling
- Driving may be required across the assigned territory, with 50–60% local travel
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record
