Job Description
Alside is seeking a Sales Director - Market General Manager to lead the external sales organization in Nashville, Tennessee. This onsite role drives profitable growth, expands market share with both new and existing customers in the assigned market, and implements strategic growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Direct and mentor field and inside sales teams across selling methodologies, account planning, forecasting, CRM usage, reporting, and product knowledge
- Define clear performance standards, monitor progress, and deliver results
- Maintain market visibility through ongoing coaching and active customer engagement
- Address complex or escalated customer issues effectively
- Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing sales talent
- Collaborate with operations and cross-functional partners to align efforts
- Foster a safety-first culture with the objective of zero incidents
- Establish and nurture relationships with key customers
- Implement go-to-market strategies aligned with Operating and Value Creation Plans
- Grow market share by leveraging existing offerings and introducing new products
- Develop and lead strategies to acquire new accounts
- Enhance local sales planning, execution, and selling effectiveness
- Analyze competitive positioning and overall market dynamics
- Set market goals for new business based on opportunity and share
- Develop accurate forecasts and manage the Salesforce pipeline
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs
- Oversee pricing and rebate strategies to maintain profitability
Requirements
- Five or more years of successful sales management experience
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial building products markets
- Ability to travel up to 75 percent of the workweek
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
