Job Description

Made for Movement (MfM) is building its U.S. market presence and partnering with SUNRISE MEDICAL (US) LLC to accelerate scalable commercial growth. In this Business Development Manager role based in Nashville, TN, you will serve as a hands-on market development lead, combining clinical engagement with commercial execution to establish referenceable adoption across key U.S. segments.

This position is onsite and centered on relationship building, clinical awareness, and structured reporting. You will work closely with the MfM CEO and leadership team, while coordinating with Sunrise Medical North America to align U.S. strategy and leverage shared resources.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and grow Made for Movement’s presence and market position across the United States.
  • Build a structured understanding of the U.S. market across pediatric, adult neurological, rehabilitation, and Veterans Affairs (VA) segments.
  • Identify and prioritize target institutions, clinics, rehabilitation centers, and other prospective customers.
  • Assess market opportunities by evaluating customer needs, competitive landscape, potential barriers to adoption, and the overall opportunity.
  • Develop recommendations for go-to-market strategy, market positioning, pricing, resourcing, and scalability.
  • Translate market insights and customer feedback into actionable recommendations for MfM and Sunrise Medical.
  • Build strong relationships with therapists, clinicians, healthcare professionals, institutions, and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
  • Create clinical awareness and demand through direct engagement with healthcare professionals and organizations.
  • Plan and deliver product demonstrations, clinical discussions, trials, and training sessions.
  • Coordinate and execute product try-outs and demonstrations at targeted clinical sites.
  • Communicate clinical value and potential applications of MfM products in a compelling and credible manner.
  • Establish reference sites where prospective customers can experience and evaluate MfM solutions.
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of prospective customers and opportunities.
  • Drive product adoption opportunities through the healthcare sales cycle and translate clinical interest into commercial outcomes and measurable market traction.
  • Establish proof points and reference accounts to support future commercial expansion.
  • Track market activity, customer feedback, opportunities, and key performance indicators through structured reporting.
  • Act as the primary U.S. market presence for Made for Movement during the initial market development phase.
  • Work closely with the MfM CEO and leadership team to communicate market insights, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Collaborate with Sunrise Medical North America as needed to leverage existing resources, expertise, relationships, and infrastructure.
  • Support alignment between MfM and Sunrise Medical regarding U.S. market strategy and commercial development.

Requirements

  • Clinical background preferred (PT, OT, ATP, or a related healthcare or rehabilitation discipline).
  • Experience working within the U.S. healthcare system, ideally with clinics, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, VA facilities, or similar institutions.
  • Commercial experience within medical technology, healthcare, rehabilitation, or a related industry.
  • Understanding of complex medical technology sales cycles, including capital equipment (CapEx) sales.
  • Strong business development and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both clinical and commercial audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently in an early-stage or market-building environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the U.S.

  • Trust-building communication with clinicians, healthcare organizations, KOLs, and commercial teams.
  • Use of pipeline information, customer insights, market data, and reporting to make informed recommendations and track progress.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Regular travel throughout the U.S. is expected to engage customers, conduct demonstrations, establish reference sites, and develop market relationships.
  • Regular/monthly visits to the Sunrise Medical U.S. headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee.
  • Collaboration with Sunrise Medical North America and Made for Movement teams is a key part of the role.
