This position emphasizes remote collaboration, in-person customer engagement, and cross-functional teamwork to expand our presence in power generation, truck, machinery, and marine sectors. Location: Based in Sheboygan, WI (hybrid). The role includes remote work with travel to the Spokane HQ, and approximately 40β60% travel within the assigned market sector. Compensation includes a base salary of $79,015 - $95,158 per year, with total compensation typically ranging from $80k to $120k depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business and exceed sales targets through proactive prospecting, in-person customer meetings, and scheduled appointments.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for new product development to introduce to existing and emerging customer markets.
- Travel within the assigned market sector for about 40β60% of the time to support growth initiatives.
- Represent Hotstart at conferences and industry events, actively pursuing leads and opportunities.
- Hunt for new opportunities by networking, building strong relationships, and rapidly expanding the customer and market base.
- Enhance the customer experience by uncovering needs and confidently presenting Hotstart solutions.
- Own projects tied to OEM spec system releases, ensuring successful execution and outcomes.
- Monitor competitor activity, analyzing trends and reacting to maintain a competitive position.
- Collaborate with Sales Directors, Customer Account Managers, Product Management, and Senior Sales Support to influence pricing and deliver competitive offers.
- Maintain visibility and accountability by coordinating activities through the Team Calendar.
- Partner with Marketing to maximize impact and ROI at key industry trade shows.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales and account management with strong negotiation skills.
- Experience with thermal management products, systems, or related industries is a plus.
- Existing network within Engine, Power Generation, Machinery, and Marine OEMs is highly desirable.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
- Excellent communicator with experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
- Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Teams, and Power BI.
- Experience with INFOR, IFS, and MRP systems is preferable.
- 3+ years of customer account management or related sales experience.
