Business Development Manager - Plumbing & Hydronic Systems
Job Description
REHAU’s Water Technologies team is hiring a Field-based Business Development Manager for the North Florida territory. In this remote role, you will grow sales of REHAU’s PEXa pipe and fitting solutions and complementary plumbing and hydronic product lines through long-term relationships and specification/project-based selling.
You’ll work independently while partnering with cross-functional teams to expand market reach, support revenue growth, and keep customers connected to the right solutions for their projects.
Responsibilities
- Sell REHAU’s full catalog across plumbing and hydronic applications, including plumbing, residential fire, radiant, snow/ice melt, pre-insulated, and geoexchange products.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the plumbing and hydronic systems sector to expand the client base and market presence.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company goals to increase revenue and market share.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers including contractors, distributors, and other industry stakeholders through tailored communication and personalized service.
- Use CRM software, including Salesforce, to manage leads, track sales activity, and analyze customer data for targeted marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to support campaigns promoting plumbing and hydronic offerings while maintaining brand consistency.
- Lead client negotiations to secure mutually beneficial agreements while maintaining profitability.
- Generate sales volume by finding, tracking, and advancing commercial and residential opportunities.
- Conduct training for engineers, contractors, and distributors with Manufacturers Reps.
- Coordinate project management activities to help ensure solutions are delivered on time and meet customer specifications and expectations.
Requirements
- Five or more years of sales experience in the plumbing, hydronics, HVAC, or mechanical building systems industry.
- Demonstrated experience in building products, plumbing, HVAC, hydronics, or related construction-based industries.
- Experience working with engineers, contractors, and distribution channels in a project or specification sales environment.
- Proven business development or sales experience in plumbing and hydronic systems or related construction industries.
- Strong working knowledge of CRM software, including Salesforce or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, negotiation, and project management to meet business objectives.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex solutions clearly and persuasively.
- Familiarity with marketing strategies relevant to technical products in the building services sector.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive mindset and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
- Applicants must be located in Florida for this remote role.
- Willingness to travel 50%.
- Outside sales experience: 2 years (Required).
Compensation and location
Salary: $98,000 to $105,000 per year.
Work location: Remote (Atlanta, GA area) covering North Florida.
Travel: 50% (in-person meetings, jobsite visits, and territory travel).
