Business Development Manager - Senior Care & Therapy
Job Description
Stellar Home Health is looking for a Senior Care & Therapy Business Development Manager to expand non-medical home care and therapy services across a defined territory in the Phoenix area. This onsite role focuses on growing referral volume in Maricopa County while coordinating closely with internal intake, scheduling, and service teams to support new clients from first contact to start of care.
In this position, you will own territory growth, build and maintain referral partnerships, and represent Stellar at local community and professional events. You will also keep sales activity organized in the company’s CRM to help meet agreed-upon goals for active referral partners, new clients, and business growth.
What You’ll Do
- Use existing professional relationships and develop new referral partnerships throughout your territory.
- Meet with senior living communities, hospital discharge planners, case managers, physician offices, rehabilitation facilities, and other local referral sources.
- Introduce Stellar’s home care and therapy services, identifying whether opportunities fit either service line or both based on client needs.
- Represent Stellar at community events, networking meetings, and educational presentations.
- Coordinate with intake, scheduling, and service teams to support timely follow-up and a smooth start of care.
- Maintain an organized sales pipeline, track activity in CRM, and work toward agreed-upon goals for referral partners and new clients.
What You Bring
- Three or more years of successful sales or business development experience in senior care, home care, home health, hospice, therapy, rehabilitation, senior living, or a related healthcare field.
- Established professional relationships with referral sources in Maricopa County.
- Proven ability to generate referrals, win new business, and maintain strong partnerships.
- Clear communication, confident presentation skills, and consistent follow-through.
- Ability to organize your territory, work independently, and track sales activity.
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the local territory.
Helpful Background
- Experience selling both care and therapy services is a plus.
- Open to candidates with a strong background in one service line who are ready to learn the other.
- Familiarity with local discharge planning and healthcare referral processes is helpful.
Compensation and Incentives
- Base salary: $65,000–$80,000 annually, depending on relevant experience and demonstrated sales results.
- Performance-based incentive plan: includes an annual target opportunity and additional earning potential for exceeding goals.
- Total pay range noted: $65,000.00–$100,000.00 per year.
