Business Development & Marketing Manager
Job Description
Analog Heart is hiring a hands-on Business Development & Marketing Manager in Seattle, WA (onsite) to help build a stronger pipeline of qualified project opportunities. You will own the activities that bring the right prospects into the conversation, then ensure a clear handoff to the production team for scoping, estimating, proposals, and closing. This role sits in the flow where strategy and execution meet, with an initial reporting line to the Chief Operating Officer.
What you’ll do
- Partner with company leadership and production to define priority markets, ideal clients, and project types where Analog Heart is best positioned to deliver.
- Research target organizations, decision-makers, upcoming projects, and potential partnership opportunities.
- Build and maintain focused prospect lists, then pursue them through personalized outreach including email, phone calls, introductions, meetings, and in-person outreach.
- Get out into the industry by attending relevant events, arranging visits, and meeting prospective clients and collaborators.
- Reconnect with past clients and existing contacts to uncover new needs, encourage repeat business, and generate referrals.
- Develop relationships with agencies, architects, designers, producers, venues, and other partners who can bring Analog Heart into relevant projects.
- Maintain a consistent outreach and follow-up rhythm using judgment about when to persist, nurture, or move on.
- Respond quickly to inbound inquiries and begin conversations focused on goals, project needs, timing, and fit.
- Capture early, useful details such as budget expectations (when available), stakeholders, and next steps.
- Introduce qualified opportunities to the appropriate production lead with clear context and organized notes, then coordinate introductory meetings and share relevant project examples or capability materials.
- Stay aligned with production so you understand what advances, what does not, and how to improve targeting and qualification.
- Support ongoing opportunity nurturing while production leads proposal and closing.
Marketing ownership that supports business development
- Develop a focused marketing plan that supports business development priorities and reaches the people most likely to hire or refer.
- Write and publish compelling stories about projects, capabilities, people, process, and creative problem-solving.
- Own a practical publishing cadence across the website, newsletter, and priority social channels.
- Turn project information into case studies, project pages, outreach materials, and other content that demonstrates impact.
- Gather stories and visual assets from busy project teams, including securing appropriate approvals and credits.
- Identify relevant publications, industry communities, awards, and speaking opportunities to put the work in front of prospects.
- Maintain a consistent company voice and strong visual standards across communications.
- Create and maintain capability presentations, project sheets, credentials decks, and an organized library of approved project photography and video.
- Tailor materials and outreach to specific prospects, industries, and opportunities, and help leadership prepare for prospective-client meetings with research, talking points, and examples.
- Keep materials current and easy for the team to find and use.
Pipeline, measurement, and follow-through
- Own the system for tracking prospects, contacts, outreach, qualified leads, and handoffs, including follow-up commitments.
- Maintain accurate records with clear ownership and next actions.
- Report regularly on outreach activity, qualified conversations, opportunities accepted by production, and lead sources.
- Use production feedback and project outcomes to improve the approach.
- Manage the approved marketing budget, tools, calendar, and outside resources as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience generating leads and building business relationships in a B2B, creative-services, or project-based environment.
- Comfort initiating conversations with people you do not know, including direct outreach, phone calls, and in-person networking.

- Strong visual judgment and an understanding of effective project storytelling.
- Organized follow-through, including maintaining contact records and managing a prospect pipeline.
